Retinal Detachment

This is an emergency eye condition where the retina detaches from its supporting layer. Patients often have symptoms such as myopsia (fly-like spots) and photopsia (flashes).
Risk factors include age, myopia, history of trauma and eye surgery. Treatment is exclusively surgical and emergency.
