Central Serous Retinopathy
This is a condition in which fluid accumulates under the retina. It usually affects young people with a type A personality (i.e. anxious people), people taking steroid medications, and older people. The patient often notices mild or moderate vision loss, distortion of the images (metamorphosis) and a decrease in their size (micropsia).
In many cases, vision is largely restored, without treatment, after a few weeks or months.
